While many of us are “giving up something” during this Lenten season, the Unity Ministry is asking us to also consider offering our services to assist our church.
What can we do to assist? Consider any of the following:
- Become a member of a church auxiliary or organization
- Assist in organizing functions
- Service on committees
- Attend congregational meetings
- Pray for the sick
- Read Scriptures
- Give generously
- Participate in fellowship after the worship service
- Invite relatives and friends to worship services and Bible classes
- Contact members who are absent
- Help with building maintenance
- Assist with cleanings, mailings and chaperoning
- Attend Bible classes
- Assist with youth event
- Join a choir
- Serve as a reader or greeter
Please place your Lenten Service Sacrifice form and place it in the Prayer Request Box before Palm Sunday, when these will be presented.
