Shadow of the Cross is participating in the Detroit Goodfellow’s Doll Dresser Program.
Since 1924, imaginatively dressed dolls have been included in holiday gift boxes (which also include clothing, socks and toys) given to girls aged 4–9. For over 90 years, thousands of devoted volunteers have creatively dressed tens of thousands of dolls for deserving young ladies (boys are not excluded, they receive a different box).
While the International Friendship Center’s sewing club has agreed to take on some of the 65 dolls that we have committed to, others in our church family are needed to help dress the dolls.
The dolls are due back to the Goodfellows on August 30.
